The Hypergrid Adventurers Club visits VWERGrid on Dec 22nd

December 18th, 2010 | Posted by Pathfinder in General Information | Meeting Announcements - VWERGrid

The Hypergrid Adventurers Club meets weekly on the region Pathlandia on jokaydiaGRID.   During our public meetings we have an open discussion about Hypergrid and Opensim.  We spend the last part of our meetings traveling as a group to interesting places on the Hypergrid.

*** For our meeting on Wednesday December 22nd, we will be visiting VWERGrid! ***

Our meeting on December 22nd will start at 2pm GMT/UTC (9am Eastern).  We’ll begin as usual at our home base of Pathlandia, and after 30 min we will make a Hypergrid jump to VWERGrid.

If you want to meet us when we arrive at VWERGrid at 2:30pm GMT/UTC, and you have an account on VWERGrid or another hypergrid-enabled opensim grid, please follow these instructions.  We’ll be arriving at the region VWERMain.

If you want to meet us when we start our meeting on the region Pathlandia on jokaydiaGRID at 2:00pm GMT/UTC, and you have an account on VWERGrid or another hypergrid-enabled opensim grid, please follow the following instructions.

  1. Open your World Map.
  2. In the text box next to the Search button, enter the Hypergrid Address of Pathlandia (66.240.233.81:9001:pathlandia).
  3. Click the Search button and wait for the map to move to the destination.
  4. Click the Teleport button.

Remember: Before doing any Hypergrid jumps, be sure you have set your Home location and have relogged since you first set it.  If you don’t, Hypergrid jumps will not work.  And if you are trying to Hypergrid jump from a region that is more than 4096 coordinates away, you’ll get a “too far away” error and will have to make an intermediate hop.  A useful midway region on the Hypergrid is HG Gateway 1 on ReactionGrid.  Its Hypergrid Address is hypergrid.reactiongrid.com:9009.

I’m really looking forward to this excursion.  Hope to see you on December 22nd!

-John “Pathfinder” Lester
